Things you need to buy/have as a vet/college student!

Result UPU pon dah keluar, im sure some of you wanted to know some of the things you have to buy and prepare as a vet student. So I came up with the list of the things you wanna buy as you get into the vet school.

As far as I know you only need these items; (everyone must buy for themselves)

1- lab coat (try to get UPM logo cause some lecturer might ask)

2- coverall 1-2 is suffice (get the khaki colour, order from PutraBiz)

3- ordinary Mr. DIY Boots above the ankle

4- stethoscope - dont care if its cheap or expensive, whether its Littman or Spirit, as long as it is functional and the neck is quite long for easy maneuver.

5- dissecting kit - important for anatomy practicals and surgery

6- latex gloves (a box)

7- digital thermometer (the quick one; 15 seconds done)

8- watch (especially stopwatch/water resistant function)

9- safety boots (equine practicals/rotations)

10- scrub suit (dvm3 and so on)

11- penlight

12- small notebook that fits into your small pocket

13- surgical instruments such as: needle holder, threads, suture model such as sponges, banana skin, towels

you may get all these at PutraBiz besides the Students Room (except laptop)

Other things such as

10. laptops - try to get the one that have, i personally might go for this:

i - 120GB (or more )SSD - Solid State Drive - boosts your laptop super fast than HDD

ii - a decent CPU for officework either AMD or Intel; AMD Ryzen 2 series/Intel 5 7th gen+

iii - a decent RAM; 4GB at least

iv- decent battery capacity >3 hours

v- lightweight perhaps

vi- buy antivirus such as bitdefender for security/not attracted to adware,malware or something pendrive virus --> important cause sometimes things happens like it'll make your file corrupted and cant open especially during presentation suddenly your work is now gone. they really can smell fear you know jajsdja

11. iPad - they're really portable and easy to take notes with. It's becoming more norm nowadays as it is especially useful for labelling and note-taking (psst; anatomy) save trees guys!

I suggest buying either Microsoft Surface if you have the luxury or Acer Swift 3 if you are on tight budget

vii- pendrive

viii - download WPS Office instead of Microsoft Office but you can get Free Student Package for MS Office, you need to contact the UPM IT Department.

ix - printer
